What Is Forward Head Posture?

Forward Head Posture, often called FHP, happens when the head rests forward of the shoulders instead of stacking naturally over the spine.

Your head is not supposed to live out in front of your body.

When the head drifts forward, the neck and upper back may have to work harder to support it. Over time, this position can contribute to muscle tension, stiffness, and poor postural habits.

Phones, computers, driving, and soft pillows all add up.

Many of us spend hours each day looking down, reaching forward, driving, working at screens, or sleeping with poor neck support. The result can be a head-and-neck position that becomes familiar to the body, even when it is not ideal.

Your posture does not stop when you go to bed.

We often think about posture while sitting or standing, but sleep position matters too. If your pillow pushes your head too far forward, lets your head drop too far sideways, or fails to support the curve of your neck, your body may spend hours in a stressed position.

Better posture usually takes a whole-body approach.

Better screen and desk habits

Stretching tight areas

Strengthening postural muscles

Movement breaks

Professional care when needed

Better sleep support

The HeadRight was designed for the hours you spend asleep.

The HeadRight is designed to support the natural curve of the neck and help keep the head, neck, and spine in a more balanced position while sleeping on your back or side. It does not replace exercise, movement, or professional care, but it can help support better alignment during the many hours your body spends resting.
